Next...
another binding/label on and another quilt is finished...
this quilt has been to Alaska USA (x2), Cambridge UK, Norway, California USA and of course Australia.
it was made as part of an international round robin that i was lucky enough to be a part of in 2008/2009. thanks to Amber, Chrissie, Gunn, Julie and Karrie for helping to make such a gorgeous quilt for me!
thanks to Dawn for doing the quilting

kaleidoscope goodness...
yesterday i had the pleasure of attending a patchwork class taught by Pam Jansen at Ballarat Patchwork where i started to turn this...
into these...
sewing has started....
next step...
they will eventually become a wall quilt for my bedroom
ETA.... i have been using Marti Mitchell's kaleido-ruler - it has been easy to use and as made this quilt a pleasure to cut out!

my stash...
hi, I'm Viki and i have a generous fabric stash!
my stash goes from the palest to the darkest shades,
i have spots, stripes, florals, novelties and tone-on-tones... but what i dont have is PLAIN fabric! the only plain fabric that i own is calico (a cheap, plain, slightly nobbly, neutral colored fabric - i know that in other parts of the world "calico" is an entirely different sort of fabric!) which i use to make dolls
i have a few fat-quarters, but these days i tend to buy a minimum of 50cm.
i dont do a lot with scraps but i do keep some for applique, and i have a small drawer (at the top of the dresser) that has strips/strings sorted by color
i also have a drawer of non-cotton fabrics (tulle, lace, corduroy, polar fleece etc)
what do you have in your stash? is there anything that avoid? what is your fabric weakness?

naming
Dawn over at "as sweet as cinammon" is asking the question, how did your blog name come to be?
it took me quite a while to decide what to call my blog, i didn't want it to be an obvious name but it needed to suit me and how i quilt/sew
after much internal debating i settled on the name "sunday's quilts" because i am a sunday quilter.
what's a sunday quilter you ask? i work 6 days a week, and often come home exhausted. sunday is my only guaranteed day off, so any crafting/quilting that i want to do is (mostly) done on a sunday

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. swap
sub-contracting
i have a stash of quilt tops in my cupboard (they are listed on the side of my blog) and i have been procrastinating with quilting them so when Khristina at Sew Prim Khris posted this, i was excited! i rushed over to Dawn's blog and contacted her asap
Dawn has been lovely (and very patient!), my tops were quilted beautifully at a very reasonable price and were back in my hands quickly... have i said yet how much i LOVE the fact that i didn't have to do the quilting???
now i just need to label and bind them.
thank-you Dawn for doing such a great job!
